Model of the Bulolo, a passenger and cargo ship built by Barclay, Curle & Co in 1928. As she was intended for service in the tropics large numbers of awning rails were provided so that passengers on deck would be protected from the sun. The Bulolo was owned by Burns Philp & Co, an Australian company which specialised in shipping in the South Pacific.
The model is now in the collections of the Museum of Transport.
