GCT motor school

Motor school at Coplawhill tram depot, c 1910.

Tram drivers (or motormen, to use the technical term) had to go through thorough training before they could take a tram car out on the streets of Glasgow. The men pictured here appear to be receiving practical instruction on a range of dummy control units.
