Biology laboratory in the University of Glasgow's Boyd Orr Building, 1972.
The Boyd Orr Building was built primarily to provide facilities for Basic Science teaching, and is equipped with modern laboratories. This picture shows the Biology Laboratory. It has rows of desks, each one with its own lighting, power points, storage space and a sink. On some of the desks can be seen microscopes. The room is spacious enough to accommodate a large class of students, and has a blackboard at the front of the room for teaching and demonstrations. Further scientific equipment can be seen in the cupboard along the wall at the front of the classroom.
