Advertisement in Glasgow University Magazine 6 December 1927 for fancy dress costumes available from the Royal Polytechnic department store.

The "Poly" sold a wide variety of goods, from drapery, toys and books to fancy goods and haberdashery. This advertisement depicts young women party-goers in the magpie, Indian chief, carnival, and daffodil costumes available at the store. There is a list of other costumes available at the department store, including Punch and Judy, Jack-in-the-box, Chinese lady and Apache lady.
