Sir James Roberton (d 1889) was Professor of Conveyancing at the University of Glasgow, 1867-1889. Roberton was the son of a Dalmarnock farmer. The Sir James Roberton Memorial Prize for Historical Introduction to Scots Law is awarded annually.
