The cover of the programme for the Logan Family's 1949 Summer Show at the Metropole Theatre in Stockwell Street. The Logan Family had become popular in Glasgow since forming their act in 1947.
Pa Logan (Jack Short) had a reputation as a spontaneous character. Shows were not always planned in advance and Pa would assign roles to the family members at very short notice. As the programme cover stated, there was "a complete change of programme weekly", which did not leave much time for rehearsal!
