A leaflet advertising Lauder at the King's Theatre, 1976, written by and starring Jimmy Logan (1928-2001). The production was co-presented by the young theatre producer, Cameron Mackintosh.
Logan's one-man show was a biographical musical of Sir Harry Lauder's life and a tribute to the hero who inspired his music hall and comedy career. It is recognised as his greatest achievement on the stage. As Lauder, Logan toured Scotland, England, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand in 1976 and 1977. The musical was also filmed for television, reaching a wider audience and winning more rave reviews for Logan's performance. He revived the show for the Pitlochry Festival Theatre in 2000.
