Tron Steeple

The Tron Steeple on Trongate looking east and with the Tolbooth Steeple in the background. The steeple is all that remains of the late medieval Church of St Mary and St Anne which was destroyed by fire in 1793.

The clock tower was erected in the late 16th century and its spire added in the 1630s.
