A Thomas Annan photograph of a portrait of Margaret Smythe of Methven (1747-1791), the wife of George Oswald of Scotstoun (1735-1819). The painting was by Thomas Gainsborough.
This portrait was displayed at an exhibition of significant Glasgow figures in the McLellan Galleries on Sauchiehall Street in 1868.
