"Gilmorehill", a song preserved in a scrapbook entitled Old Glasgow Street Songs etc, 1850 which is held at the Mitchell Library.
The song is about a trip to Kelvingrove Park in a horse-drawn omnibus, and a young couple's adventures at a fair on the banks of the River Kelvin. Poor Peggy is thrown head-over-hoops-and-crinoline while taking a donkey ride. The reference to a Robert Campbell may be to a steamboat captain who was well known in Glasgow. "Aunt Sally" was a popular fairground game - players took turns to throw wooden batons at a large wooden doll, known as Aunt Sally, and the winner was the competitor who knocked her perch on top of a post.
