"The Cathcart Courtship", a song which has been preserved in a scrapbook entitled Old Glasgow Street Songs etc, 1850 which is held at the Mitchell Library.
This song describes an encounter with a couple and a jealous love-rival in the Cathcart Parish Church's kirkyard.
