Towards the end of 1903 Mr W J Robertson of the Cartha Athletic Club proposed that there should be an award of lifetime membership to ordinary members of ten years standing. The club produced this roll to honour those who had been given lifetime membership. It includes some of the founding members. The roll is embellished with decorative artwork in the distinctive "Glasgow Style" popularly associated with Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald.
