An advertisement from the Post Office Glasgow directory of 1914-1915 for The Kingsway Press, which claimed to be "the perfect poster printers" and "the largest producers of colour posters in the world".
Colour posters were used widely in the city to advertise goods and services in shop windows, on hoardings, on public transport and in other prominent places. The Kingsway Press was London-based but had an office and showrooms in Hope Street.
