A postcard showing the model yacht pond and club house at Camphill Park c 1900. Camphill House and its lands, which face on to Pollokshaws Road, were added to Queen's Park in 1894.
It was said that Queen's Park enjoyed the purest air of all the parks in Glasgow as the prevailing south-westerly wind carried none of the smoke, soot and other atmospheric pollution which belched from the factories and workshops to the north and east.
