P. & W. MacLellan

P & W MacLellan built a floating landing stage designed for heavy traffic for the harbour works at Manaos, Brazil, in 1905. The firm's product catalogue describes the landing stage as being 522 feet long and 80 feet wide. The contract included light and heavy pontoon work, adjustable floating stages to suit the variation of the tide, screw pile jetties, towers for cable conveyors and travelling pontoons, storage warehouses, customs house, and goods sheds.
