"The Cricketing Belt" made by Wilson, Matheson & Co, clothing manufacturers, illustrated in the firm's wholesale and export trade list of c 1872.
The brace department on the first floor of the warehouse at 42 Glassford Street produced a variety of boys' and men's braces and belts in rubber, cotton and wool, at prices ranging from 1/3d (just over 6p) to 24 shillings (£1.20) per dozen.
