By 1963 the advent of mass television entertainment had made it increasingly difficult to fill large capacity theatres. This programme marked a sad occasion, the final performance at the Empire Theatre.
With the notable exception of Albert Finney the artists were mainly Scottish, many of whom had performed successfully at the Empire over the years. They included Johnny Beattie, Rikki Fulton, Jack Milroy, Duncan Macrae and Andy Stewart.
