River Clyde

This fine view of the Broomielaw and the River Clyde was drawn in the 1880s and depicts a busy scene along the north bank looking east from the Sailors' Home.

The bridges of the city centre and the paddle steamers on the river are handsomely recreated, as is the bustle of the quayside. The Bridgegate Steeple is visible in the background to the left of the picture.
