Alexander Osborne (1820-1900) was a wholesale cheese merchant and councillor.
Born in East Kilbride, Osborne came to Glasgow in 1836. He served as a Conservative on the Town Council for thirty-eight years, from 1862 until his death in 1900, and was City Treasurer 1875-1878.
