After graduating in Natural Philosophy and training as a Chartered Accountant Robert Ferguson started the corporate art collection for Ernst & Young and then became Keeper of the Corporate Art Collection for United Distillers. In 1998 he joined The National Trust for Scotland to manage Pollok House.
