Daniel Parker read History of Art at Edinburgh University and Trinity College Dublin. He worked as a Curatorial Assistant at the V&A and British Museum, Research Assistant at the British Library, Library Assistant at the National Gallery of Scotland, and cultural Tour Leader for Page and Moy Ltd. before joining the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland in 2000.
