Miles Oglethorpe is head of Industrial Survey at the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS), and is secretary of the Scottish Industrial Archaeology Panel. Whilst completing his PhD at the University of Glasgow, he joined the Scottish Industrial Archaeology Survey at Strathclyde University, transferring to RCAHMS in 1985.
