Stewart Lamont was born in 1947 in Broughty Ferry and has degrees in science and divinity from St Andrews University.He worked in broadcasting and journalism, and was from 1981-2000 religious affairs correspondent and columnist for the The Herald newspaper. After a parish in Glasgow and an ecumenical post in Brussels, he became minister of St Andrews Church Gibraltar in 2003. He is the author of 10 books.
