A cast-iron navigation beacon on the south bank of the River Clyde in Govan. Meadowside Granary can be seen in the distance on the opposite bank.
Beacons were set up along the river by the Clyde Navigation Trust and were lit up at night. Some also emmitted flashes during the daytime. The beacons are still in place along the Clyde.
