Broomielaw Quay

This photograph shows the quayside at the Broomielaw in the 1850s, with several paddle steamers moored behind the shipping office. In the background is a great fleet of sailing ships berthed at the Windmillcroft Quay (built in 1839) on the south bank of the river.
