Coloured cartoon from the Northern Looking Glass 3 September 1825, the sixth in the series "Essay on Modern Medical Education". The cartoon reflects widespread public disquiet concerning the competence and morals of the medical profession of the day. Entitled "The Graduation" it shows students at their graduation ceremony, crying Medicus sum! ("I am a doctor!") and being capped with a dunce's hat.
