One Devonshire Gardens

The entrance to One Devonshire Gardens.

The small award-winning luxury hotel opened in the late 1980s and in 2003 occupies three terraced houses built c 1870 off great Western Road in the West End. The hotel is a favourite with celebrity visitors to Glasgow, from Princess Anne to Michael Jackson (but not at the same time!)

Amaryllis, Scotland's only Michelin-starred restaurant, opened in the hotel in 2001. It closed in January 2004.
